GET A SECOND OPINION. I AGONIZED OVER HAVING A HYSTERECTOMY AND AM HAVING PROBLEMS NOW. MY DR. SAYS THE SAME THING. BLAMES IT ON A PULLED BACK MUSCLE OR A UTI. WE KNOW OUR BODIES BETTER THAN ANY ONE ELSE. FIND OUT IF THIS CAN BE CORRECTED OF IF YOU JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT. DON'T SUFFER NEEDLESSLY. I HOPE THIS IMPROVES FOR YOU. THERE IS NOTHING MORE DEPRESSING THAN HAVING A PROBLEM AND NO ONE ELSE SEEMS TO UNDRESTAND.
I had posted a comment a few days ago but it never shoed up but I hope you do get a second opinion as SUECAT says. We do know our bodies and I have had mesh repairs with nothing sticking me as you say happens to you. I went to a physical therapist but not and it was helpful but for sure if you are feeling something poking you perhaps it is the mesh. What kind was used? I have had 4 operations in the past 4 years including a TOT, cystocele repair, rectocele repair, ligaments redone and sigmoid colon reseciton and every time I get a copy of the surgical report and then ask questions. Do not give up and also go to pelvicfloor.com. There are a lot of horro stories there but some good info too. Take care.
Hi. I had a large rectocele repair last year and I felt some of the pain that you are feeling. One reason my doctor told me was because the mesh wasn't exactly flat inside of me so I have a ridge that rubs but everything is healed correctly. That maybe what yours has done. You might want to ask when you go back to your therapy or your doctor.. I hope this helps.
I had TVT-O Bladder Sling Surgery over 2 yrs ago, still can't have intercourse because it's so very uncomfortable. I feel sore inside and a very irritated feeling every time I attempt this. Anyone out there with this problem?
Thanks!
