Transparent blob/jelly like substance came out!! is it mucus plug?

I heard that mucus plug is bloody and looks different then what i saw this morning when i went to the bathroom!
i had strong contractions and saw a jelly , transparent blob when i wiped..can that be the mucus plug!
does it mean that im close to my delivery !!> ?

im 38 weeks today :)

My wife lost her plug at week 36 but didn't deliver until week 41!

Yup, probably was however, if you don't deliver within a couple of days, it regenerates itself.  I know, probably not what you wanted to hear!

Mine was the same way.  Clear thick but no blood.  Lost mine 3 weeks ago though.  Still no baby.  Good Luck!

Sounds like it!!  At 38 weeks, you should be ready to go very soon!!!!  How exciting!!!!

I was told that mucous plug looks like mucous - that is why it is called that - it can also be tinged with blood and chunky - but it doesn't have to be.  

Unfortunately I have also heard that you can't tell when your going to deliver - it could be days or weeks still.

At least it is a good sign, though!   You are getting closer!
