subdermal blisters on hands

My boyfriend came back from Iraq in February and stayed with me while he was on leave in March. I noticed a tiny blister that itched on the inside of one of my fingers I popped it and thought nothing else of it. I started getting blisters all over my hands and my body would itch too. He went back to base in California when his leave was over and told me he started itching and getting blisters. This has been going on for months with both of us. He said he remembered getting blisters in his hands in Iraq but they weren't as bad as they are now. I have looked up different things it could be online and have gotten nowhere until I saw posts on this site. Obviously more than one person that has been to Iraq has gotten these and noone seems to know exactly what it is. I don't think it could be ecxema seeing as how he has had it before and now I have it and he has it again too. My entire body has been itching and I have tiny bumps all over me that look like flea bites or an allergic reaction the only place I have blisters is on my hands, fingers, wrists and I had one on the bottom of my foot. I have never had anything like this in my life until I was in contact with him after he came back from Iraq.

This discussion is related to small, subdermal 'blisters'.

I think what you guys have is what I have which they say is ecxema, I dont know if this works for hands or not but try this on your feet, as hot as you can stand epsom salt water. I know that for a fact works if it itches after the salt water treatment DONT SCRATCH... check your shoe soles  (bottoms) for cracks also water getting in the bottoms of your shoes will do that to your feet.. Bacterial water so to speak. I will let you know about the hands as soon as I find out if it works on me.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but such symptoms can be due fungal infections. It can cause itchy blisters also. Most cases of fungal infections respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.

In case the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist.Dyshidrotic eczema has to be ruled out.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
