Can-do I hope you are right!
I am counting on this computer-controlled robotic radiation system killing my tumor so I can keep thriving like superman.
"Faster than a speeding bullet.
More powerful than a locomotive.
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Look! Up in the sky!
It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Superman!
Yes, it's Superman - strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Superman - who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel with his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights the never ending battle for Truth, Justice and the American Way."
Heck, I would settle for just being a mortal man.
Then all I would need is my Lois Lane. A young Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane would do just fine.
(Hey, I may have lost my libido because of this disease but I haven't lost my mind). haha
Every single picture you make for us to see Hector is amazing and sooo educational. I learned so much from you since I found this forum, that is priceless for me .I can't wait /and I am sure all other people who know you/to here good news from you soon. Thinking of you and wishing only the Best!! Naya
I go in on Monday the 30th to have the gold markers implanted near the tumor in my liver on Monday. The radiation beam follows the markers when I breathe so it can follow the tumor and zap it about 100 times per treatment session. This is the start of the 3 1/2 week treatment.
Hector...you're an INSPIRATION to all of us. I just don't have the right words that mean as much as you mean to us. Maybe I couild put a few words together.....amazing inspiring awesomeness!!
If there is a vote for an Angel on Earth, it would be you! You have my vote. For all you're going thru and you stil have time for us.
PaulaAnn WELL SPOKEN! See you summed it all up in one sentence!! Hector is going to be around for a long time.... He found his calling and we all thank him for it!
Completed my 5 radiation treatments Monday, Oct 28th. Radiation sickness is not someone I would recommend but if it can kill enough of my tumor to get a transplant obviously it is a small price to pay.
