Simple Ways to Cut Calories

Exercise: Blast Fat with Housework

Exercise: Blast Fat with Housework

With just one hour of housework — vacuuming, dusting, washing the windows — you can torch around 250 calories. “It’s not like you have to necessarily sweat or breathe heavily to burn calories,” Panton said. “Just getting up and moving is important for weight loss — and warding off chronic diseases, such as diabetes.”

If you want to burn a little more while having some fun, play catch outside with the kids for 30 minutes or stop by the local bowling alley and play a game or two to burn an extra 75 to 100 calories.
