Symptom after physical abuse
My husband had been physically abused all of this life. Now he has a an involuntary full body twitch. He will be sitting there and all of a sudden twitch. Me being an aspired psychologist and psychiatrist i am wondering if maybe it isnt because he was beaten as a child. When I touch his back very slightly he usually twitches. Please someone please communicate to me! I want to help him!
Your doing the right thing. The more that you expose him to touch the he will get use to it. It might be a good idea for him to be in a suport group for people of domestic violence.Such as ymca

could it be a seizure brought on by abuse or is it just a twitch . does he have flashbacks while he twitches.
I'm not sure if it's becsause I was severly abused by my EX b/f at ages 15, 16, 17 but when my b/f today touches me sometimes I get uneasy or I jump untill he gets away from me....Not sure, but there are somedays I love to cuddle and some I don't even want to be touched....
