fentanyl patch withdrawl

good day ..

my question ..is there a standard length of time for fentanyl patch withdrawl ?

my story ..i have some serious ostioarthitis issues stemming from spinal injurys...so for the past 2 years ive been taking the 37.5 fentanyl patch to combat some of the pain...doc says i have a high pain threshhold (what you dont know wont hurt you i guess ) thats why my dose has not increased and i take only an emtec30 its it gets past a certain point.
crux of the story ..i let my script run out and couldnt get in to see my GP for 7 days.....7 quite nasty days later
for the first 3 days i was pretty edgy ...thinking goofy thoughts ..//what the hell is wrong with you im thinking
day 4 the restless leg **** went crazy ..whole body tweaking NO chance at sleep ..same on day 5 6 7  ..ive had 2 hours total of sleep in 7 days...this last night might have been the worse ..dam near deleriuos right now ( sure as hell cant spell thats obvious /grin )
saw my GP yesterday he thougth i was over the worst ...said DONT go cold turkey again..
he gave me a sleeping aid called zopicloe..so tried that last night ...got good and groggy then the restless leg syndrome ( never had it befor ) went ape ****...arms legs flinging around ..felt and must have looked like an idiot..

so needless to say 8 nights sleep less....if my wife wasnt such a honey..and patient

so back to the question beore i lose my mind ....HOW long with this nasty stuff last ?

PS. NO MORE FENTANYL PATCHES  ever...

well day 9 ,,,,,crashed for 2 hours at 5:00 am...not quite enough

still wondering if this type of withdrawl is normal ..or if this is going to carry on much longer ?
i tossed every type of addictive medicine ive been perscribed away
(not flushed ,,given to pharmacist )
expecting a few more sleepless nights...guess you have to pay the piper at some time ..might as well be now

good luck ..to you... if anyone else is going through something  like me

Try taking a nap anytime you can. The lack of sleep with give you anxiety and restless legs as well. Stay away from sugars or caffeine. Try some chamomile tea throughout the day and walk around the block when you can. You should be getting better soon. I know is hard but well worth it. I’m glad you have your wife and your doctor to rely on. Best of luck.
