Dxm

I've used dxm about 10-14 times over about 4 months. (Avg. waiting time: 5-30 days). It's impossible for me to pay attention to anything, I have very bad memory, its absolutely impossible for me to retain information and I have ADD already. But I think I've added to it. Have I fried my brain? Will I be able to continue usage ever, as in every 2 months or so?         Additional info:  Im 15, I do not have access to ADD meds, my dxm doses are always 180-300. Last time  using: Yesterday, 300mg.

I used to take ADD meds (I can't remember the name), about 2 years ago but they made my heart beat increadibly fast and I could never sleep. Therefor i'm apparently not supposed to take them. As for addiction, I am not physically addicted to dxm where I get sick, can't sleep ect.) like when people have withdrawals. It's more of  i'm not happy and want 1 thing to always look foward to, which is DXM. If I had something else i'd go to it instead. As for brain damage, it's not something I want but I don't plan on ever stopping dxm completely without finding an alternative. I've had 1 other thing has no negative health effects but I no longer have access to them (I did have withdrawals from them after 2 weeks use, not saying anymore.)

I am very concerned that you are doing a lot of damage to your developing brain. You are doing what is commonly called by doctors "self-medication" because your ADD, if you do in fact have it, needs to be addressed. You need to talk to your parents and get them to take you to your pediatrician or a child psychiatrist. They need to put you on correct and appropriate medications, so that your actual issues are fixed and you do not crave drugs that in these doses can cause irreversible damage to your young brain. Please get the help you need and stop hurting yourself by overdosing on DXM.  If you stop now, your brain has an opportunity to heal, since you are still young. Good luck to you.
