I'm so glad that you've opened up here and made the statement that alcohol is a problem for you. A huge step that takes years to make so Congratulations. I hope that you learn how not to let it affect you negatively again., and quit once and for all. I quit in '99 and honestly haven't missed it a bit. Although it brought me to my knees at one time. Glad you're listening. It's a very important part of recovery. God Speed.I'm here if you want to talk. Why not consider going to an open or closed meeting at AA and pick up a Big Book and 12 step book. It's good reading when you're quitting. Yes, you're giving up alcohol, but you are gaining a huge ready made family.. It really is something to get involved, when you're ready. or if it is something that you think might be helpful.
Your message touches my heart.
Coming here to read is good. You don't have to 'speak' in order to listen, to learn, to feel the support.
(You have just 'reached' out, whether You realize it or not)
Everyone is here for You, everyone is in Your corner. Speak when You are ready, and if not, that's okay too - continue to read and take in what is helpful to You.
GoodLuck
