effects of alcohol

my husband used to drink vodka heavily but now his legs seem to lock all the time making walking awkward. is this the effect of drinking? will it get better?

I dont know about legslocking but I have something called neuropothy which the doctors said was due(most likely) to chronic, longterm alcohol abuse. I have to be really carefull to heckmy feet because I have very little feeling in them and can hurt them and not know it. That's what I have to pay for abusing my body/liver for over 30 years.Good Luck to you both

I'm not sure about the legs locking but I have heard a few people here talk about having to relearn how to walk after coming off of liquor.  Read some of the posts.  I hope your hubby is doing ok.

Curious how old your husband, how long drinking vodka and been to the doctor?  I've noticed a lot of folks here are keen on vodka.  Beer has always been my drink of choice, and lots of it, the 5.9 version; don't think I've drank vodka in 30 years.  That was the last time I got totally blind, sick and blacked out.  I wanted to die the following day.  Man, I was sick.
