Well we both know..those in recovery know that when you really want help with an alcohol problem you just buck up and take responsibility for an OVI,u don't come here seeking advice on how to shuck it....and u don't let a few weeks go by posting again unless its a rant about how no one helped you and poor me!ah yes how i love that old AA saying pour me pour me...pour me another drink!
The truth always hurts when someone is still in denial~~
AGAIN..u weren't asking for help w/a drinking problem u were asking for assistance w/a legal issue and sounds like u have a good attorney so good luck!u r always welcome to return when u SERIOUSLY want to address the alcohol issue.
I honestly enjoyed this website until you all. So thank you all so very much for pushing someone out that YES.. needs help. Congrats. Sleep well.
We need pics ibizan!!!

if u've been flu sick and confined to bed and sleeping a ton ur hairdo gets molded to the pillow if u sleep on ur side a lot!no gel or mousse needed!:)
The field test just kills me being sober!! That touching your finger to your nose thing really throws me!!! The cops always get so mad when they cant bust ya!!
I'd love to see a photo of you with a mohawk LMAO
It is so good to smile and know why you are smiling LOL
Not the drunken smirk we all know.
As we well know many post here w/some very off kilter questions and the curious side of me goes in2 their profile posting to see what other posts they have done and other forums they are involved with and I see that they have myriad problems w/other life areas.....so we just keep doing what we do best.......support each other and learn recovery tips from one another and most important......it takes 14 facial muscles to smile and 72 to frown!:)
Yep i am a crazy alcoholic, in recovery and it looks real good on me~~Have a good day! sara
no dude u didn't make a mistake!u were just keepin it simple!:)
for the past 27 years i have enjoyed my sober craziness! At least now i remember it!At least i won't get pulled over for driving under the influence of craziness!I used to hate getting pulled over for DUI's..thats what they called it in my time.....this is so funny.....years ago i left my masseuses office after getting a full body massage and had best natural body high going.I was so relaxed i failed to see that i was in a turn lane and went straight....realizing what i had done after going thru the light and seeing the lights of the cop car behind me.Cop thought i was under the influence,my hair was in a mohawk from the massage oil...he was sniffing my breath and asked if i was on drugs.Told him to call my masseur....he made me get out of the car and take a sobriety test walk heel to toe the whole schmiel!!!!he was satisfied i wasn't under the influence and barked at me to get a DD the next time i went to masseur telling me i couldn't drive worth a hoot afterwards!
DUH don't drink and drive! I made a mistake
Twice. Worth taking an honest look at with help from someone else.
Yep,we are all crazy alcoholics, getting the help we need to stay sober. LOL
You weren't asking for help w/a drinking issue you were asking for advice on how to duck a 2nd OVI offense. You gave us no information on your drinking history. It is not up to us to extract that information from you.Your outburst here shows you have a LOT of issues! This is not the place to post if you are not seeking help w/a alcohol problem.Perhaps you could find a forum for legal advice somewhere.Or if you have a good attorney thats your best bet!
We can not give legal advice on this forum. No one is a lawyer, and this forum is for support and info on recovery. Feel free to continue posting if you would like support and info on recovery, though.
Emily
You are spending all this time to hire a lawyer to get your charges reduced as you dont want to go thru all the things you did the first time......Really? You dont see the underlying problem here? I hope you will open your eyes and get the help you need before you end up killing someone or yourself.........sara
Hi I just wanted to state my own personal opinion on this as well.
I believe that drinking and driving is NOT a choice, just like alcoholism is in a way NOT a choice. Everyone knows drinking and driving is wrong and people have died, lives have been ruined... but my view on it is that it's a result of the ALCOHOL.
Think of it this way... someone is 12 drinks drunk went to the bar with his friend thinking they are being responsible, and then catches the cab back to the place they were supposed to be able to crash at. But that person fell asleep and isn't opening the door, now that was the 'plan'. But the 'plan' just changed, now the friend you are with is saying "well can you give me a ride home" because your car is parked there. Now you being 12 drinks drunk and incapable of making a normal sober decision and are completely incoherent and in "auto-pilot" mode simply say sure.
You crash your car, or hit a pedestrian because you are so intoxicated... even though 99 times out of a 100 you as a so called "responsible drinker" don't drink and drive.
Is this so wrong that this human being is so evil and they have never done anything else wrong in their entire life?
I don't think so... I think this person is an 'alcoholic' and needs to be treated for their alcoholism. The drinking and driving thing is evidence that the person has lost control of their life due to the alcohol.
I still believe society should have tough laws on drinking and driving don't get me wrong on that... drinking and driving kills. BUT i think society should really push towards getting that person into a treatment plan rather than throwing them in jail like they are an evil person just because they lost control of their lives from alcohol.
" don't drink and drive " is NOT the solution for an alcoholic. Because everyone knows they should not drink and drive including the alcoholic. But while drunk a person in incapable of making the right decision because their mind becomes uninhibited and their behavior changes. If the alcoholic continues to drink there will be another occasion where they will drink and drive despite previous problems with the law.
The bottom line is you have an alcohol problem and it's time to consider the alcohol as the real problem here. I would address that pretty soon, before it's too late and something even worse than just getting stopped by the police and having to just get a lawyer. Think about it, you could have hit and killed a pedestrian, or crashed your car and gotten yourself killed, and that's why society wants to do everything they can to stop drunk driving because it's completely preventable! If you hit and killed someone think about how bad you would be feeling right now! This is a sign that alcohol is causing you to lose control of your life.
This is a forum for those who are trying to stop drinking or who have a loved one w/a problem that are seriously trying to quit!it is not a place for those who are seeking tips on how to avoid an OVI charge when 1.they coulda harmed another w/their drunk driving 2.they coulda harmed themselves! Did u take a breathalyzer test?what were the results?if u failed ur sobriety test u should just step up to the plate and take responsibility for this instead of trying to shirk it!I did TONS of drunk driving 27 years ago......thank God i never harmed another or myself!i finally stepped up 2 the plate and accepted my alcoholism and drug addiction!2nd OVI?within what time frame?ur pretty young for that...but then we're never 2 young...or old!!!
don't drink and drive. Good luck!
