I live in Tallahassee but please don't try to figure out who the attorney's and judges are. It's such a small town, really, and I don't want to breach confidentiality.  (My boyfriend dropped pot roast on my keyboard - it's a long story - and my exclamation point won't work, or I'd have put one at the end of that last sentence.)  I didn't get to church yesterday, so I enjoyed hearing about your sermon -- my pastor is always speaking directly to me - or actually God is speaking to me through my pastor, I guess.  :>)    The women's meetings really are great -- I'm 56 and frequently one of the youngest people there.  The older ladies are such a hoot. Some are newly sober, and others have been sober a long time, but they have a great perspective. Thanks to all for the warm welcome -- I'm so happy to have found this site.

Good morning.  Almost noon for you all though.  Terry when that bracelet is gone i recommend you find a womens aa in your area.  I go in the day time, at 10.  That time would probably work for you.   I think with it and this web site it is a winner.  I listen to these women talk and at first it floored me.   I thought, i   was the only one who did that or felt like that.  It is really a plus, and get a sponsor.  Mine is awesome. She is a retired RN and been sober 26 years and is so smart.  She is a rock and there for me.
She is making sure i learn these 12 steps and we are going page by page.
Ibi, we even had crackers going of last night.  Is there no end to it?  2 of my friends dogs were nervous wrecks on the 4th as well.  One too was hid under a bush.  They took her in and turned on music and a fan to help drown out the popping.

Just got home from wk, last 3 days have been pretty sloooow.....wk tomorrow and then 3 days off (and hopefully with this shackle off!!!!!!) Speaking of shackle church today was great! I swear Pastor was speaking directly to me! He even made the band and choir sing the song shackles 2X's. He and his wife are young 55 and they are so great at ministering the WORD. He was speaking about all of us breaking the things that bind us in our lives be it what they may. He even said there are some of us that can't even talk about the shackles that bind us...WOW I got goosebumps and felt like it was just 4 me! Very Very inspriring service and just reinforces my faith and the knowing that I deserve and will receive better and will be freed! I do hope that it is tomorrow but if not it is real soon, got to be this week I can not see what could possibly make them delay it any longer. Ibi and Tjack did you ck out all the girls posts from yesterday I mentioned? I have read it over and it cracks me up every time. Even had Tom howling! To answer your question about AA meetings well I don't get to go cuz I wk nights and I have to prearrange all my comings and goings thru my PO every Tuesday. So essentially being on here and chatting with you ladies and reading peoples posts is my version of AA meetings while I am on community control. I really love it to tell you the truth. I can tune in at any time and there is always someone to connect with it's great. Tom says he's getting jealous of my puter hahaha the other man in my life! Going to go spend some time with him and watch some TV so he does not feel left out, I'll ck back in a bit b4 beddyby. Terry

i am mixing my own shaken green tea and lemonade here at home!pretty good!those were italian Greyhounds u saw......we call em Iggies!nervous lil things...chiuahuahs on stilts!some idiot was letting off incredible booming firecrackers in backyard...70 lb greyhound so scared...got diarrhea then wedged self undr bush and wouldn't come out!YELLED for them to stop....of course i got more.......ppl 2 doors down heard me!glad when 4th over....back to the salt mines 2 morrow!

First of all welcome to our world.  Congrats. on 4 years sober.  I am almost a month.  Check us out daily and join in.  You are absolutely right,  it is a disease but the treatment is criminal.  I think AA should be an opiton also
I think it is here in oregon.  I do go to aa. Never had a dui, by the grace of GOD.  Never wrecked and hurt anyone, i am so thankful.
Hey, Ibi there were two mini greyhounds at church in the park this morning.  They were so sitnkin cute, i thought of you and yours.  I guess yours are quite a bit bigger than these.  Anyway, it was good to think of you and imagine you having a shaken green tea lemonade. yummy

I just found and joined this site yesterday, and I've decided after reading these postings that you "girls" are my soul mates.  I'm 56, live in Florida, single but with a long-time boyfriend, two cats, a great job, and almost 4 years sober.  Terry, I hope you get your "bracelet" off soon -- tomorrow, if possible.  Do you go to AA meetings?  If there are any women's groups in your area, I'd be willing to bet you could attend a few and locate a few women attorneys who might be willing to help you out.  My support group had attorneys and judges....several of each, actually.  If you're going to meetings regularly, wouldn't it  make an impression on the court?  If you need a ride, contact the central office for your area.  I hate it that while alcoholism is recognized as a disease, it is punished as a crime. If drinking a driving is a crime, cops could stake out upscale bars and arrest politicians and other big shots every day.  What's illegal is getting caught -- which I never did.  I drove intoxicated so many times that I could not even begin to count....thousands of times for sure, and don't have even one DUI? .  Am I better than you? NO WAY- I just didn't get caught.  My Christian counselor has one DUI that he got following his 45th birthday party....and he isn't an alcoholic at all. It doesn't seem at all fair, to me.  Why don't all recovering alcoholics have to wear a bracelet?  What about recovering Vicodin addicts?  They can't fail a breathilyzer, so they don't have to wear bracelets.  Well, I'll get off my soapbox and go on over to the anxiety forum..... Hang in there, and know I'll be praying for you..

Nursegirl knows what I'm talking about. I was cracking up...it is all so true. Any anxiety you might be feeling will go away once you read this lolololololol! Bracelet still on ofcourse I'm one day closer to Monday and hopefully my independence day! Hope everyone had a pleasant 4th, rained most of the day here, wk was slow but the rain cleared up for the evening fireworks, could see some from wk. I bet you will have a busy day at Subway!  My hubby is barbecueing about 30 lbs. of spareribs and we made a huge pasta salad.  Going to his folks.   His Dad has cancer and it is not good, so we are spending as much time with him as possible.  So the whole fam-damily will be over there.  They are right across the river from us.
I don't think we will be going in for the fireworks tonight, but no doubt we will be hearing them.  We heard them last night after we went to bed.   Ibi, is it hard on your pooches?  It use to make our little dog a nervous wreck.  WE had him for 17 years.  Haven't gotten another because we go so much, it isn't fair to the dog and plus would cost a fortune for the doggie motel for as long as we are on the go, but mostly not fair to the dog.  Tonya

I'm sure that the "you're the guilty one" mentality is most of the problem here...and that just ISN'T right.  I mean...it's not like Bandida is trying to get out of her punishment.  She has put up with this for so long despite there being a REAL problem.  :0(  It's just so sad that things are thay way.  It's one thing to face the consequences of something you've done wrong...and a complete other to be tortured and not even given the opportunity to go before the judge with the cold hard truth.  So sickening.

bandida...keep doing the peroxide and oint the best you can....all of my fingers and toes are crossed for you.  :0(

What is extra stupid is the dumb thing prolly stopped working right ages ago...so technically...she isn't even being properly monitored....

ibizan you hit it right on the nose, in their eyes I am scum of the earth and have NO rights! Except the right to pay them mass quantities of $$$$$$$! That's what it's all about. I have nothing to lose in fighting this and making myself heard. This is just the beginning. When it does actually come off I move on to phase 2. Done a lot of research and I am not the only one out here. Been in touch w/ppl that have been in the process of fighting it and am collaboratting w/them. One guy is in Ohio as a matter of fact. If I don't hear something t'day then I guess it's Mon. again, I forgot tomorrow is the 4th. Just keeping the ankle real clean..peroxide anti-B cream. It's coming back but not as fast as b4 so I should be ok for a bit longer. nursegirl I know how serious this can get it's scary, but it's not happening to them so they don't really give a hoot. I do believe having a new judge will do the trick, am praying hard that it is coming off and again I claim it! Thanx for all the support and good wishes..it really means a lot to me. a few months ago a female client of mine had her nose broken face all black/blue from idiot boyfriend beating her.parole officer said she could not file charges on him for she was a convicted felon!i have stories that would really raise ur hackles....like bandida when u r labeled the criminal and something like this happens...the underlying current seems to be u got self in jam so deal with it!many just lie down and take it for they view themselves as powerless in a powerful system..and assume they won't win a damn thing if they fight it.Keota and Putter are dead asleep now......their paws r crossed and their making those doggie noises dogs make in their sleep..i think its bandida prayers!:)

I CANNOT believe that thing is still on you!!!!!!!!  If I were you...I would go to the ER and collapse...something dramatic.  (Ok, maybe not...but I would certainly be thinking abou it!!)  It's a shame...but they are obviously NOT taking you seriously...this is truly an outrage.  You could end up VERY VERY VERY ill from this.  Just wow.

Can't your atty demand an emergency hearing?  Something?  You're still documenting everything with pictures?  I hope you are also writing everything down.

I would go back to your doc IMMEDIATELY as well so they have it documented what the leg looks like...etc etc etc etc.  Go every day if you have to so that they can document this.  Has your doc written a letter for the courts?

My thoughts are with you...I'm just dumfounded at this...it is a total injustice.  I truly hope you consider filing suit against them when this is all said and done.  Just outrageous.

It is  a scorcher here today.  Been out and about in the jeep with top off but i love it, hot or not.  I saw my therapist and didn't even have a bawling session today.  She was pleased also, Ibi on how i handled the wine thing last night.  I get kind of sad though when i think about how nice just a glass or 2 max would be.  But, I KNOW for sure that can never be.  My sponsor has been sober 26 years, not a drink and she says she still would like to have a drink.  I hate the thoughts of that! So, i had my shaken green tea today and one yesterday.  Those are my rewards :<).   Yes, i be the water carrier for you two leo's.  I always get excited when i go to this site and see one of you have posted.  Makes me happy. Well....I have some news! Not sure yet if it's good? or Bad! Atty's secretary said the clerk of court has signed it of to a new Judge (that's the part I'm not too sure about) apparently my usual judge is out of town..Yeah (I think). I am guessing they are passing it on quickly to some other judge bcuz it is sort of an emergency(to me it is,it will be if they don't get it off and I end up in hospital). So I'm hoping something is said and done real soon..keep ur fingers crossed girls and pray this big guy on the bench has a heart. The guy that put this on is going out of town Tues. So I hope it's b4 then. But if the order comes down to remove it...Believe me I myself will find a way to get it OFF! TOOL TIME TERRY WILL EMERGE!!!!!LOLOLOLOL.
