high tolerance of alcohol

hello.

i am 26, male. i am a pretty new drinker, only starting on my first alcohol drink in November last year. the past month i have been drinking almost daily and i think i have a high tolerance of alcohol, surprising for someone that just begun. there were 3 incidents that brought me to this conclusion

- once at a party i downed 2 beers and about 5 shots of whiskey

- another time i downed 5 shots of whiskey (neat), 2 cans of stout and some random beers

- most recently i had glasses of wine, 2 stouts, 2 beers and about 15 shots of whiskey (neat or as bourbon).

i felt practically normal on all times, in fact even waking up earlier than usual to head to work the next day, though for the 3rd time i was a little tipsy at the end of it. but i had the presence of mind to shower and clean up before going to bed.

ever since i began drinking stout my stamina, strength and health have considerably improved which makes this all the more complicated.

a friend once mentioned that my high tolerance could mean lousy blood circulation.

is this true?

can anyone advise me?

thanks

Some people function better than others. BMI, your height/weight,and food consumption are some factors that contribute to alcohol tolerancy. Ever heard of drinking yourself sober, it can happen.

Most people who are drunk never think they're drunk.  They see themselves as "buzzed" or "tipsy".  The problem is that you are not the best judge of that after you've been drinking larger quantities.  Others around you are a better judge.
If you have a high tolerence, okay - that doesn't change the fact that drinking large quantities is physically bad for you and can cause major problems with your internal organs over time.
If you get to the stage where you start feeling more "drunk", it may mean that you have become dependent.  Do you want that to happen?
By the way, not all drunks are irrational, BUT that doesn't change the fact that you're probably drunk.
