You have my sympathy, it must be horrible waiting for the test, then waiting for the results. Although I do not have liver problems I was the partner, then friend and carer, for a man who died of liver disese. His was drug related, but I think that all liver illnesses have a similarity, and the saddest thing of all was that even knowing he HAD TO stop using or die, he was unable to stop using. I watched his liver give out bit by bit, and was with him as he took his last breath, eyes bright yellow, belly bloated, limbs thin and wasted. He was only 50.

On the plus side, the liver is one of the best organs in terms of its ability to regenrate, especially with a good diet and supplements and so on. On the minus side, and I apologise if I am jumping to conclusions just on the basis of your short post, I am guessing you are an alcoholic, and the insanity of that condition is that people continue to drink even when the alternative is a certain death.

Please let us know more of your story, and let us know how your results go, I wish you all the best

my brother died of drinking last year he was 33.  He turned yellow and at first it seemed he would recover but then for whatever reason all his organs started to fail, his kidneys stopped working and we decided to take him off life support.  I beleive if he had a second chance he would have stopped drinking.  I hope u see this as that chance for u and u take it there may not be another one waiting.  It was a terrible thing to go through.  My family spent a lot of time and money visiting him in the ICU after he was life flighted.  His eyes even bled and he was unconcious.  I hope u take this seriously and realize that that could happen to u too.  Stop before it is too late.

Jeez...  I just read your post and today is the 15th so I guess today is the day you go in for your procedure.  I hope all goes well and that the procedure proves this to be something that is nothing to worry about.  Please post and let us know how it went.  I'll send a prayer up for you.
