22 month old allergies

My 22 month old daughter has had a rash on her face for about a month and on her bottom for about a week or two. The urgent care doctor said it was impentigo; gave her 2 kinds of antibiotic and an antibactiral cream. None of it worked.I stoped giving her apple juice, and the rash is clearing up just a little. I am thinking it is an allergy to apples, but don't know for sure how I would find out.  She hasn't been wanting to sleep! I need help. Please someone tell me if it is an allergy.

Hello,
Yes you can give her oatmeal baths and if the symptoms occur again then you may apply calamine lotion for soothing the skin. Anti itch lotion containing Benadryl like Sarna lotion may also be applied but it should be done after a dermatologist’s guidance as she may need oral anti histaminics as well.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

My oldest child gets impetigo a lot. So I was pretty sure from the start that daughter did not have it. It looked nothing like it. My daughter has been off apple juice for 3 days not and her face is healing up very fast. My sister said her daughter developed an allergy to apples aroung the same age and also had a rash on her face and bottom. One more question that I have is... Is there any kind of lotion I can use if this happens again; and would a oatmeal bath help her little bottom?

Hello,
Impetigo is a rash that presents in school age group and consists of red itchy bumps with honeycomb like crusts. Continue giving her the prescribed medicines as it is difficult to confirm the diagnosis without examination and keep a food diary for her. She may be allergic to some of the food stuffs. Avoid giving her those foods in future.
