Allergy

My Ig E Level is 409.0 KU/L and results have further shown that i am allergic to some vegetables, yeast, Housedust, Housedustmite, paper dust, Parthenium, Pefume, and some medicines

Is the High Ig e level purely due to allergys i have or can there be something else also wrong in my Body , any further tests i need to get done ?

Thanks for writing back.

I highly recommend immumontherapy.  It is quite effective.  Make sure that you are be ing treated by a board certified allergist.  I pray they work for you.

God bless.

Many thx your response, I am in consultation with Skin specialist and they are contemplating if going the vaccine way for two major inhalant allergies which are Housedustmite and Parthenium may resolve this issue a bit along with avoiding some foods.

Hello and welcome to medHelp!!

Other things can cause a high IgE level.  Usually those well cause levels well above 1000.

You should discus your concerns with your doctor.  However, generally your IgE level would indicate just bad allergies.  If you also have asthma that is hard to control, you may want to discus Xolair with your doctor.  That is for allergic asthma.  Your IgE level definitely would qualify you for that treatment option.

Please let us know how you are doing.

God bless.
