Can Mold Cause This

I have been having numerous odd symptoms since June 2008. They include rapid heartbeat, headache, dizziness, pressure in chest. Just to name a few. I have been to several specialists with no conclusions except that I have anxiety. I have been trying to accept that but I still feel no better. Last week we hired painters to paint the walls of our house and when they moved our entertainment center in our bedroom the carpet underneath and the bottom of the entertainment center were covered in black mold. When we cut out the carpet the floor underneath was covered in black mold. We threw away the carpet and entertainment center and cleaned up all the black mold on the floor. The only conclusion we could come to for how mold got under the entertainment center was we had the carpet steamed cleaned a little over two years ago and they must have set the entertainment center on wet carpet. The mold was only under the area where the entertainment center sat on so it was not caused by any leaks or anything. My question is could my curious symptoms be caused by Black Mold exposure. My doctor says no but when I google symptoms for black mold syndrome alot of my symptoms match up.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Yes, it is possible that your symptoms are due to the black mold allergy. You can confirm this by simple blood tests which detect the toxins in blood. The next step would be treatment, which is usually aimed at removing the toxins from the body. Left untreated the toxic black mold syndrome can affect other systems too. Do consult your doctor regarding this and preferably consult an allergy specialist for this. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
