Yeah that was me too. My husband has a strong aversion to smoking, so I gave it up for him. It took a few tries though, but I think I may finally have it. Just think of it not so much as an ultimatum (her or the addiction), but more of she wants to have as much time with you as possible and cigarettes can cut that time in half. Think that's what helped me- I realized just how terrified he is to loose me.
Good luck.
thank you for talking with me , we just found each other and we know we want to be together , i dont want to lose her over this .
There are a lot of strange allergies out there so it's possible she's allergic to it. I know that many people are allergic to smoke, nicotine isn't that much of a leap.
My husband told me he could still taste a cigarette on my breath 24 hours after I had it. That's after brushing and mouth wash. He said it seemed like it was in my lungs- so every time I exhaled a little seemed to be in it. Not enough for me to tell, but more than enough for him.
I hear it said that it takes about 3 days for the chemicals to get out of your body. and about 2 weeks to help change the smoking habit. Although I've been struggling with cravings MONTHS after i quit smoking so I don't know about that one. But my husband seems to be able to detect smoke for a 1-2 days after I have even 1 cigarette.
