That's pretty young. Feel much more comfortable if you see a professional.
Hi there! They are 3 and 5..........we have tried numerous things and I saw that boswellia looks very promising in clinical trials. Any other ideas? We do fish oil, magnesium/calcium, and have tried quercitin.
There are many pharmaceuticals whose long term effects are known, and well documented. Newer ones, no, but with due time long term effects will be known and documented. There are more studies on long term use of pharmaceuticals than any so called "natural" or "herbal."
When you say children, how young? I'm also not sure boswellia is the most effective herb out there for asthma. Virtually anything will say don't give it to very young children without expert professional advice, such as a naturopath, or a physician who practices integrative medicine, or perhaps a homepathic physician; they're good with kids, but usually don't know herbs that well. As to long-term studies, there's nothing on the market that has studied long-term effects, including pharmaceutical products, so that issue is pretty moot.
Boswellia's long term effects on humans is not known. I would not give this to a child.
Yes it is safe but i would start will a very small dose to see what happen if there is a possible allergic reaction and then go to a dose you find right. Do not use the adult dosage recommendation.
