yeah I tried the cpap but it didn't work for me.
what natural anti inflammatories are good? everything I've tried doesn't really help my wheezing, even the fexofenadine or allegra-d and I still have severe sleep apnea
You may have developed a problem that neither you nor your doctor are aware of. The use of prednisone and inhaled steroids tend to promote the growth of Candida albicans. Candida worsens your asthma and can result in a variety of respiratory problems.
Almost three years ago I stopped taking steroids of any kind and switched to natural anti-inflammatories. I also cut back on sugar and starch. I am all the better for it.
One of my daughters has sleep apnea. She had a special device made for her mouth to wear when she sleeps that helps greatly.
it makes me sleepy so I don't know how bad this heart depressing effect is, but it really seems to be a good sleep aid
I'm also trying this indian mixture, amrita bindu
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrophularia
it seems to have all these anti inflammatory properties
it may be effective for arthritis and tuberculosis. the herb I got from the Chinese medicine store looks like a black bark though and not a flower. I boil it and make tea but I don't know how safe or effective it is?
Figwort (scropularia) is useful for a lot of things, but I don't know it as an anti-inflammatory. Histamine is one of the immune system factors that causes inflammation, particularly in the sinuses and lungs, so anti-histamines do act as anti-inflammatories.
I don't know if antihistamines can help may asthma and rashes?
I'm taking scrophularia which is an anti inflammatory and analgesic but I don't know if it does anything for asthma. it is supposed to block some inflammatory chemicals
Do you mean scutellaria? This is Chinese skullcap, and is a natural antihistamine. Another is freeze dried nettles. Another is quercitin combined with bromelain and vitamin C.
does the hcCRP show auto immune disease like say ANA tests? I've never had these tests and want to get them since I also have strange circulation problems, GI nausea, rashes under my skin.
I've read and heard from asthmatics that spirulina can help, it is available from health and vitamin stores in tablet form
I've read the Paleo diet (caveman diet) I never tried it! The link is below.
http://www.cavemanpower.com/
I've read that paleo diet can be good for asthma
it's terrible I've been crippled by sleep apnea, can't breathe in my sleep and can't rest for 2 years
I take vitamin C, vit D- but is vitD toxic to the kidneys at some dose?
I had a ESR test that showed a normal level but not the one you mentioned
I've read a study that said that spirulina can help asthma but it doesn't seem to help my sleep apnea
I have to take prednisone sometimes to breathe in my sleep
Your immune system is a complex array of cells that work as a team to protect your body. knowing your levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) can give you a fair warning as to what kind of trouble you have. An excellent blood test called the highly sensitive C-Reactive protein test (hcCRP). Ideally, your level should be less than 1.0. Levels between 1.0 and 3.0 are termed borderline
above this range can mean trouble and should be rechecked every few months. To prevent inflammation you should start with diet. And the Mediterranean standard is the best one. Make sure to include a wide variety of multi-colored fruits and vegetables.
Anti-inflammatory supplements, add omega-3 fatty acids in the form of EPA I suggest 2,000 mg of EPA per day. Probiotics also help.
anti-inflammatory herbs are boswellia, tumeric, ginger, and rosemary. Resveratrol is a powerful anti-inflammatory.
vitamin D (at least 1,000 to 2,000 units a day) may be the most important and adequate amounts of vitamins A, C, and E along with the minerals zinc, magnesium, potassium, and selenium.
Exercise also is good as an inflammation reducer. You should get 30 to 45 minutes of vigorous exercise.
