i had resection surgey for herina.

now about 1 or 2 times a year food gets caught i have cramping vomiting some times last couple days last time i ate steamed carrots.pineapple&melon any thing with small strings causes problems please help

yes ive even had 2 cat scans they tell me scar tissue and to avoid foods that cause problems, i never know what they are until i eat them . carrots even steamed seems to be a big problem. thanks for your interest birkie188

You need to talk with your GI about this.  There may be some scar tissue where food is having trouble passing and causing you pain.  Also once the colon has been operated on and starts to function normally, it can stop again at some point and they start again, so ask your surgeon about this as well.  If you know what foods cause this I would avoid them until seeing your doctor.
