I am a 33 year old male, 5'9, a bit overweight, have a bad diet, and lead a very sedentary lifestyle. For about a year now i've been getting a tight/burning/crushing/deep pain in the centre of my chest that usually lasts for 2-5 mins, although recently it's been longer and can last up to half an hour. It happens with rest, not on exertion and almost always happens during the night, waking me up. More recently it has been radiating to my upper back and sometimes stomach. I sometimes feel gassy and my stomach makes gargling noises but not always. I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia about a year ago and my gp thinks that's what this is. In the last 4-5 months i've been getting breathless on exertion. It goes away when i stop. I never get the chest pain and breathlessness together. I've had umpteen resting ecg's and holter monitors all came back fine, just some benign ectopic beats. I have suffered with them for years but they have also gotten worse in the last year or so. I've also had an echo which was done last November, also fine. I'm really perturbed and don't know what to do next. i am thinking angina even though i don't get the pain on exertion (the most i do is light jogging, sometimes bodyweight exercises). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
