hiv anxiety

hiv question?
Hey I have posted here before bout my worries but here's the latest.. The man who I may have contracted hiv from said he was ttested over 4 weeks ago but refused to let me know the results now he's saying he wasn't tested then and has only recently done it but isn't very nice to me about it basically he don't want nothing more to do with me and says I should be tested myself if I want results which I have had 2 tests at 4 and 5 weeks which were the hiv 1 and 2 with the p24 antigen test which were both negative but now I am freaking out because I had a sore throat over a week ago but still have swollen glands also had a spot thing in my armpit which did pop and stuff came put with a bit of blood but a lymph node was there aswel as the spot but the spot has gone but the node hasn't, went to the docs she didn't really say much apart from if it hasn't gone in two weeks come back and I also have a cold.. No high fever or night sweats or rash but doc did say I have a mild sinus infection but my throat glands are rather big and I'm seriously freaking out that it's seroconversion.. I am a mum to two beautiful babies but my anxiety is taking over me.. I'm pushing ppl away I have another test at 6 week's, spoke to a health advisor and they have said I should take my negative results at 4 & 5 weeks as a good indicator of being hiv negative and where I am so stressed out & have severe anxiety over this that I could be open to viral infections such as colds and sore throats.. Any advice??

From what I know in the majority of the world 12 weeks is conclusive. But specialists allways say that the have never seen anyone have a negative test at 6 weeks and then have a positive at 3 months. In my country they consider conclusive at 6 to 8 weeks.I think that if you test at 6 or 8 weeks you will be fine.I totally get what you are going through..I am going through the same thing right now that I am typing here. The only thing that we can do is to wait. But again if you were positive that would have shown on the 5 weeks test. What helps me go through this is to find some activities wich they keep my mind occupied..and makes me feel a litle ''safer''.So when my anxiety hits red...I am doing the stuff that makes me feel safe.Thats not going to make it all go away but for me it is helping.I hope it will help you too :)

Just gotta wait for my 6 week one that my local hospital sexual health department has said they would consider conclusive but some say go to a 3 month follow up depending on the risk

My story is similar in the anxiety part...I can tell you that your 5 weeks test is very very good and its very deficult to change. I dont think that ars is going to appear that long after the exposure.I think here they say that if you have symptoms at all they will apear 2-4 weeks after the exposure and they will last for 1-4 weeks. So your symptoms are out of timeframe of ars.Thats a very good thing! Have you tried to seek mental help for helping you to cope with the remain waiting time?

And I am going to add that doctors here say that at 4 weeks a duo antibody-p24 test is over 95% effecient...so you have a very very small chance to me hiv+ after all.As they has been advised me...symptoms never tell anything...I had lots of symptoms and end up negative.I also think that if your symptoms where due to hiv your test would be come up positive. So thats one more lead that you don't have hiv :)

Did you have unprotected sex with him? I dont think that you should relax or worry depending on his test resaults.Even if he is hiv+ and you had unprotected sex with him there is a litle chance that you can get infected with just one time. And of course your 4 and 5 week test are very good sighn of what is coming.
