hi people im johnny an d so glad to find this i had anxiety really bad 3years ago i went to 4 diffrent hospital every day thinking i was having a heart attack i felt really bad that i felt constantly dizzy i couldnt do every day this went on for a year and half my life was horrible couldnt see a way out but i battle through it and felt alri for the last year but i have the anxiety back again been to my doctor got checked every thing fine but have bad chest pain again diarrhea shortness of breath really suffering again think im going crazy the doctor has put me on leaxpro 10mg dont relly want to take medication just would love to now how to get over this witout medication can any one help have bad headache now want to be ok for christmas have a young kid want to feel like me again can any one help thanks

Iodine solution is radioactive and can be toxic to an extent. Usually not dangerously so. When I had a CT scan at the age of 10 it made me vomit uncontrollably. I'd have to research long term effects but the important thing is if you were diagnosed with a psychiatric disabilitiy that required Seroquel before or the iodine caused it. Speak to a psychiatrist independent of what happenned and get a full consult. If there is a factual deterimination by an outside medical pracitioner that the iodine caused it then file a complaint. In New York State the number is the Commission on Quality of Care. There is a similar one in all states. This information is printed in all psychiatric hospitals so its not anything that isn't on the patient bill of rights. They investigate within the system to see if something was done wrong. But first find out exactly what happenned. And if procedure was followed. I've never heard of such an extreme reaction but anything is possible with drug interactions but know the facts first.
Palpitations
Palpitations are short, abrupt periods in which the heart suddenly starts beating fast. If you’re in a sensitive state, this can ring alarm bells because you fear a sudden heart attack. The more you panic, the faster the heart beats. It’s therefore understandable why many people in this situation jump to conclusions and call for medical help. What you have to remember is that palpitations are perfectly natural and can often be caused by exhaustion or stimulants like caffeine. Your heart is an incredibly strong muscle, and it won’t stop or explode simply because it’s beating hard and fast. A healthy heart can beat fast all day long and not be in any danger.
Missed Heartbeats
The medical term for missed heartbeats is extrasystoles. A missed heartbeat is usually an extra beat between two normal beats. Given the pause that follows this premature beat, it just seems as if one beat was missed. And because the heart’s lower chambers fill with a greater-than-usual amount of blood during the pause, the next regular heartbeat can feel like a bit of a jolt. When you feel this sensation, you often freeze and wait in terror to see if your heart is in trouble.
Such missed beats are generally harmless. It can help to sit down when you feel this sensation, but if you wish to keep moving, do so. Exercise won’t cause the situation to get worse, and don’t convince yourself that going home to lie down is the only way to help the situation. If you retreat every time you feel an unusual sensation, that behavior can reinforce a negative idea that your home is the only safe place to be. Our hearts are not atomic clocks that always keep time; they speed up, slow down, or occasionally beat in an irregular fashion. People with anxiety are very keen observers of all bodily functions. From time to time, you may notice an irregular beat or two. This is nothing to get upset about.
Sometimes, individuals go through similar worries about their heart as they do with their breathing. People convince themselves that if they worry enough about their heart, or concentrate too much upon its actions, it may somehow get confused and forget how to beat correctly. It’s quite common for people who suffer from panic attacks to check in on their heart at regular intervals to make sure it’s still beating away.
If you simply can’t stop obsessing about your heart, here are some tips:
• Get a full medical examination. If you don’t, your mind will always bring up the “what if something really is wrong” card. When you get a clean bill of health, trust in the results and don’t second-guess them. If you really must, get a second opinion—but after that, stop doubting your good health.
• Remember that your body has incredible internal intelligence. Simply telling your heart, out of panic, that it might stop doesn’t mean that it heeds your fears. Learn to become more comfortable with your heart, and let it do its job. Listen to it when you’re relaxed and also when you’re exercising. The more comfortable you are with the diversity and range of your heartbeats, the more confidence you’ll have in it.
• Allow your heart to beat in whatever rhythm it sees fit. Don’t try to control the natural rhythms of your body by always insisting on a calm heartbeat. The more you allow your body to flow in the manner it so chooses, the faster it will return to a state of rest.
Very often, your heart only wants to palpitate a bit, thump a few beats harder. Why? That’s the heart’s own business. It’s your mind that interferes and panics, causing the adrenaline to kick off a longer cycle of rapid heartbeats. So from now on, make a verbal agreement with your heart that you’re going to stop interfering and obsessing over its health and trust in it 100 percent. Then hand over the controls. Let go to whatever way your heart wishes to behave. By allowing the sensations to happen and simply getting on with your day, you release the anxiety that you hold around your heart as well as the cautious monitoring of every heartbeat.

Mine started with a SHOCK state, kinda like your describing, It felt like all my nerves were on fire, and every time I went to the ER they treated me like a A-hole, and a drug seeker. "you can look at me, and tell thats not me, I hate drugs"
I would be up all night, trying so hard to sleep, but the longer it took the worse it got, because I would look at the clock, and get a type of learned Insomnia.
My heart rate didnt really go up either, just fealt that shocked feeling, and......its kinda indescribably. And the not sleeping made it TOTALLY WORSE!
My cousin has been taking Xanax for about 3 years..for kinda the same thing, and she also complained that it made her jittery, so I gave her one of my Klonopins to try, and she said it worked great, and that she was going to talk to her Doc to get switched.
They have a much longer Half life then Xanax so you dont have to take as much as xanax, and Ive heard there better for you. The only negative side effect Ive had on them was my Short term Memory is a little wacked, and my vision is a little funcky, but Id rather have those side effects, rather then the SHOCKED OUT OF CONTROL AM I LOOSING MY MIND feeling.
It was funny, the last time I went to the ER the Nurse said it sounded like I had Liquid on my lungs " I was up smoking all night" and WAM it hit the hardest all of a sudden I fealt flush, and almost passed out, and right before I passed out All I thought was...Good, atleast I'll go to sleep, lol
I was checked again..my chest by 2 more docs, and they said I was fine.
I will tell you this about Klonopin, When my Doc gave me them, I told her "Just give me anything that will knock me the (F) out!" she laughed and said theres nothing like that, the night before I hadnt got any sleep, and when I was waiting for my Prescription to get filled I fealt like I could hardly breath, when I got home I took only 1/2 Of a MG and within 45 min's, I felt like I had slept all night, and COMPLETELY NORMAL!
The main problem is, is that there addicting, and that *****, but like any other disease, or cold, if the docs give you a medicine to take, and you have to take it for a while until you feel like your strong enough, just do it, then you can worry, or taper yourself off the Klonopins later.
The main goal is to get you as close to Normal as possible for a bit "and sleep too:)"
I too get the tingly thing, and my limbs seem to fall asleep faster then normal.
What anti anxiety med are you on?
They put me on paxil at first, but I couldnt tolerate it, it made me so I couldnt funtion.
So they put me on prozac, and its been about 7-8 days, and I can already feel a difference. Its making me loose weight, and kinda makes me a little like the "WHOA" feeling at times, but the anxiety is getting better. Last night only woke up once, and I think I got 8 hours total......thats a big thing for me right now

I got released from the hospital tonight because physically there's nothing wrong with me, they've done all the tests...i'm back home now and i'm suffering majorly. the best way i can describe this is like when you have stage fright or are REALLY dreading something that's coming.. like some sort of surgery or exam and it doesnt end.. it perpetually stays as if the thing you are terrified of never goes away. its constant flight or fight response and my stomach is doing flips and turns endlessly while waves of shivering go down my whole body and my hands get tingly. Also at the moment i feel like I might pass out and mentally it feels like all hope is gone and i'm going to die or have to feel like this for the rest of my life and I cant get cured. It feels like my chest is tightening and its hard to breathe and i'm perhaps hyperventilating. strangely enough , unlike other people panicking my heart rate doesnt seem to go up. it mostly stays the same. that's the best way I can describe this to you. Xanax either makes it worse or does nothing and the anti depressant i have makes me groggy and eventually go to sleep after much suffering. my doctor will give me klonopin tomorrow and i'll try that. i'm at my wits end.
I cant say Ive had the same experience, but Ive had a similar one.
It was this last October, and unusually warm, and we had wasp flying all over, my friend stopped by, and I took off my jacket and placed it on the ground, then we went to go do something "cant remember what" I put my jacket back on, and there was a wasp the bit..or stung me twice on my arm, we were driving and I started to get my anxiety symptoms, and started to shake "like I was cold", then it went away, then came back later that night.
I had MANY OF SLEEPLESS NIGHTS! at first, every other night I was going to the ER
I asked if a bee sting could cause this, they told me no, Im still convinced to a point that somehow the chemicals changed something in my brain.
I too was suffering MAJOR 24/7, and still suffering...mainly in the morning and daytime..still sleeping like **** though
I think sometimes when we have something that is foreign introduced to our COMPLICATED chemical balance, that it does throw it out of wack.
It may not be by the book, or a "Textbook allergic reaction"..or the process of everything that happened, could have unlocked something hidden in our subconscious.
Im getting better little by little, but have so many darn side effects of the Klonopin, and Prozac, it *****.
It can get very tiring, at first I was searching up everything, went from having cancer, to some wierd systematic shock...then back to cancer "why do we that suffer from anxiety alsways think we have cancer?"
but came to conclusion that investigating it wasnt helping, nd to just stop, and try not to take alot of benzos "klonopin" and just take it day by day.
I used to be a energetic,..pretty healthy, SLEPT LIKE A ROCK, and always doing something progressive.
I did notice that teas really do help alot, I still drink a few cups of coffee in the morning, I now take a multi B vitamin.
could you write me, and tell me some of your symptoms, Im curious to hear what you are going through, to see if our type of anxiety can be related, I found that having someone to relate too really makes you feel better....and not like your dieing.
