I feel the same - I wake up and start worrying and go to bed worried and anxious - finding something to occupy myself sometimes work - esp talking to someone else I seem to relax a little x
Breathing exercises are a tool, but not the cure. CBT teaches you how to alter the way you think about things, when it works. It's more complicated than just temporary relaxation exercises, though they help.
i used to go to work and find a room to cry in. I had to go on meds for anxiety and it helped. But I've been off them for 2 years and it's back right now, I was told to expel air from my lungs as hard as I could and then take a couple of regular breaths. You should be able to get a good deep breath after that.
