Hi there and welcome to med help. Yes, you very well could be describing symptoms of anxiety. The dream like feeling is something I personally relate to. Have you talked to your doctor at all about this? Is it interfering with daily activity in any way?
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I had a thorough ENT and neurological work up including EEG and ambulatory EEG, but negative. The ENT called it "atypical migraine" and the neurologist thought it might be psychic in origin which I guess means emotional/energy-based. So I guess anxiety could fit into that. Let me say that I am an intuitive healer by profession so I use my right brain hemisphere a lot and also do a lot of meditating. I have often wondered if these attacks could be stress induced because they seem to follow a period of intense emotional stress. I wouldn't go on about it except that when I have an attack, I pretty much can't function. During the worst one, I couldn't remember my children's birthdates, I couldn't remember names, addresses, phone numbers, what the date was, couldn't lay down any new memories at all. After several hours it literally feels like a fog clearing, and I slowly start to get my thinking back. Thanks for listening!
