Some people can not take Paxil or any of the similar drugs in that category.
Your main reason for taking Paxil is depression? Your Dr could switch you to Wellbutrin.
But if you've just started taking it, there's some time your brain needs to adjust and the side effects may go away. Be patient.
Both panic attacks and depression. I talked to my doc and he told me to take a full 10 mgs for 2 weeks and see if that would help with anything
Be careful with Wellbutrin -- it's a very stimulating antidepressant, not well suited if you're main problem is anxiety. If the anxiety is caused by primary depression it might be more appropriate to try. Any antidepressant can cause personality changes, including lack of emotion. It's very common. But you seem to be cycling through side effects pretty quickly. I was on Paxil for many years, and while I wouldn't recommend it, it didn't cause this for me but it did make me more aggressive and angry. But it took a long time before I realized it was the drug doing this to me, though others around me noticed much sooner.
