Are you in therapy right now, or thinking about it? Many people do well with CBT. Are you taking any medicating to help deal with the GAD? Remar

I have been in a group but am going into private therapy.  What is CBT?  I have a hard time on the meds.  They either give me terrible side effects or they make my anxiety worse.  Do you have any suggestions which are better than others.  I was using Adivan but they don't want me to stay on it.  I was only taking half of 0.5 per day - not very much but eventually I would probably have to increase it because it probably wouldn't have much effect.

Thank you for your response.  I have a lot of trouble getting onto the meds.  I have a lot of side effects - extremely  dry sinus, mouth and lips.  However, the muscle tension that is occurring is not fun either.  I am having trouble with my lower back, neck, jaw, et al.  I have tried so many things to keep my lips moist but they don't seem to help.  Also, I don't find the medication calming me down - it seems to keep me as worked up.  Does this change over time?  HELP!!!!
