I know how you feel. Sometimes I lay awake till 5 or 6 AM scared out of my mind. I feel my breathing slow when I start to doze off and I wake back up thinking I will stop breathing or something. Sometimes it helps to leave a small light on because once in awhile I'll get freaked in total darkness. Or I will watch some TV and hopefully fall asleep while doing that. Sometimes I'll read too and just close the book to rest my eyes and fall asleep.
Dude ive all whys had anxtieny and by u saying makes me feel so much better
i went through this last night..everytime i would feel like i was about to fall asleep,i would get wierd sensations..and i kno everyone says we have to relax but its such a different story when ur in the middle of an attack..but you just have to believe it will get better even though sometimes it seems impossible
You might have Ressless Leg syndrum. I tried Lexepro for about two weeks and the same thing happened to me. I think I fell to sleep about 11:30pm and then woke up at 1:40am. As far as I know, it takes longer than two weeks for Lexepro to work on your mind. Your body is a different story. After 4 nights of no sleep I quit taking Lexepro and everything returned to normal. Don[t worry, lack of sleep never killed anybody. Take some over the counter sleep aid about 1/2 hour before bed then take a hot shower. The cooling of the body after the hot shower tricks it into going into a sleep mode. Good luck.
