The unbelieveable symptoms of anxiety....
Fight or Flight fellings of panic
Regular daily tasks just seem to require so much effort
Fatigue
Breathing problems (which causes many other syptoms)-hyperventilation, etc
Achy body (arms, hands, feet)
Cold/tingling hands and feet (due to hyperventilating throughout the day)
Headaches
Feeling "out of it"
Throat can feel like it's closing up
Urinating a lot
Upset stomach
Fear/phobias
Fear of losing control or freaking out
Feelings that you just can't take it anymore...depression is commonly associated
Irritablilty
Can't sleep at night
Chest pains/tightness
Dizziness
Weakness
Strange sensations in head/back/etc
Problems swallowing
Irregular menstraul cycles

It is insane what anxiety/stress can do to a persons body.  You may feel happy and content and only have spurts of stress.  You could constantly be anxious and have anxiety attacks.  Whatever it is, it is amazing how you can feel so many intense physical symptoms.

You are going to be fine hun.  I promise.  It abosuletly ***** and is very hard to deal with.  Just know that you are not the only one, it IS normal, and there are many things that can help you.

Right now...you are having anxiety because you want the symptoms to stop RIGHT NOW.  They will stop, just keep telling yourself that.  The symptoms will start to get milder, and you before you know it, you'll feel back to yourself.

Try some of these things...some have worked better for me than others
-Get your mind off of your body and the way you feel
(Talk on the phone, watch a movie, go for a walk, exercise, give yourself a manicure)

-Try some relaxation techniques (these don't always work for me)
(Try laying down and breahing slowly with your stomach (diaphram)
(Try meditating or doing yoga)

-Try taking a Xanax and waiting about 30-45 minutes

I know it's a bad feeling, but it will start to come down.  Try to deal with it and stay strong.  Crying is one of the best remedies for alleviating the intense anxiety feeling.  I also love to write.  Write down some of the stuff that is bothering right now, then try and come up with solutions.  Also, write down positive things in your life that you are thankful for.  It can help put you in a more positive mind set.

I hope this helps.  After you start to feel better, think about ways you can change your lifestyle to prevent so much anxiety.

I have learned so much in the past 4 years.  My anxiety comes and goes, but I am doing what I can to take good care of myself.

-I eat healthy
-I go for regular doctor/dentist visits
-I exercise regularly (keep healthy and relieve stress)
-I write in a journal most nights before bed
-I treat my anxiety if it flares up (SUPER IMPORTANT OR IT CAN BECOME CHRONIC)
-When times get really rough, I talk to a therapist and use xanax when I have to.

Prescriptions can stop the vicious cycle of anxiety.  Once you tame it and get it under control, it will alleviate your stress about having anxiety.  I promise, it can be treated and will go away.

Therapy is so over rated...BUT it does help :)  Give it a try, it won't hurt.

How are you feeling now?
