Sorry, I said other drugs might now work -- meant not work. Big oops.
This drug should only be taken if all else has failed. It has a stronger affinity for choline and serotonin receptors than other drugs and is therefore very very hard to stop taking, and because it's so strong if you do have to stop taking it for any reason other drugs might then now work. That's common with this drug. The manufacturer, Glaxo-Smith-Kline has been sued to the gills over this drug and the victims are everywhere. It can be a very effective drug, so I wouldn't rule it out forever, but as I said, this is a last resort medication. It also has a large side effect profile, including a lot of weight gain, sedation, and personality change. Now, other meds can have this too, so here it isn't unique, but added to it's extreme difficulty in stopping it makes it, again, a last resort drug. I'd put Effexor in this same category. Good luck.
Your body will likely not react to the med the same way as someone one who posts here, so possibly you will have a different experience. You are better off asking your pharmacist, because they sell many bottles of this stuff so have a lot of experience as well as they receive lots of feedback from those who use it, as opposed to trying to sample a few people here to form an opinion.
