Loose yellow stool after major anxiety attack

Hi.  2 weeks ago I was in a huge fight with my husband and experience a major anxiety attack followed by constant panic attacks.  I have anxiety and panic disorders, but was doing better so went off medication.  That same night, I had bright yellow diarrhea.

I have just started up meds again.. 2 days ago... and for these 2 weeks I have been experiencing what seems to be a 24/7 panic attack.  I feel constipated, but every other day I have either bright/pale yellow diarrhea or bright/pale yellow loose stools.  I am reading about all the illnesses that yellow stools could represent, and it is just making me more anxious.

Do you think it is normal for yellow stool after major anxiety?   Also, I have not been able to eat or sleep much.  I am only eating bananas, plain pasta, popcorn, peanut butter, and bread.  Maybe a little Special K or such.

Could my anxiety attack have led to something medically serious with me?  Or could it just have unbalanced my body for the time being until I get my body back under control?

Thank you for your help

It sounds like diarhea to me also.  For example, I have been very anxious these last few days and everytime I go number 2, (which is now a few times a day because of my anxiety) it is very loose, like diarhea..sometimes it is light and sometimes brown...I know that anxiety effects my stomach terribly...that is what it sounds like to me also.  However, if the loose stools continues, it wouldn't hurt to see a doctor and have him check it out.  Very easy to do.  You take samples for 3 days and they can check it for infections, blood, etc.....

However, the color seems normal to me and it seems to be all related to your anxiety...

Yellow stools, green loose stools... all sounds like your stomach is kind of nervous and you are eating very light things... which are healthy things too... so your body is absorbing a lot of it... and the rest is.... loose stool.

I get these when I'm having major anxiety b/c I don't eat almost at all. I have to force myself to eat, and my nervous stomach makes my digestive system go out of whack, and i get diarhea... and it looks yellow, green... mucus like..

All normal. You are fine. =)

PLEASE go and read my post titled "To New Posters."
ESPECIALLY the post from nursegirl regarding starting a new thread with yet more symptoms!
I just spent about an hour responding to your first post which was marked as being written 2 hours ago. Now I see you have posted AGAIN.........also with a post time of 2 hours ago! This second post now lists a symptom you did NOT mention in your first post. This is really a VERY confusing way to post and does NOT make it easy for those of us trying to help you to get the "full picture."
Are there any other symptoms you would care to share with us NOW?

If you are having the length panic attacks that you say you are having. It is normal to have that type and color of stools. so don't worry about it. I know it is hard but i get them normally the day after a major panick attack. It is just nerves that are working on overdrive. Hope this helps

I doubt your anxiety has led to anything serious.

Have you been eating vegetables and fruit?

I have experienced this sort of stool also. Try some red meats also. I would give your medicine a week  or 2 more and see if this still continues.

It is most likely due to your diet however.

Best to you
