Masturbation and anxiety

Sorry if this post offends anyone, i made it once before, but just found some new information about it.... if anyone has any thoughts that would be great

I'm 21 so i guess i'm expected to have raging hormones, but i masturbate usually twice a day then have sex on the weekends. i've seriously not gone like a day without masturbating in the last 5 years as it's become more of a habit / part of my daily routine. I usually cant sleep at night unless i do it as it relaxes me and makes me super tired. The last 2 nights i've not masturbated and my sleep has been really terrible, but i've felt alright the next day

anyway , i found this article  ( http://www.sexualrecovery.com/resources/articles/understanding-compulsive-masturbation.php)

Quote:
Frequent masturbation and ejaculation stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions excessively, resulting in the over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when a client compulsively masturbates.

For the client engaging in compulsive masturbation, they often experience problems with concentration and memory. This is a dangerous side effect of compulsive masturbation and signals that the brain is being over drained of acetylcholine. This behavior can also drain the motor nerves, neuro-muscular endings, and tissues of acetylcholine and replace it with too much stress adrenalin which is where memory loss, lack of concentration, and eye floaters come from. To fight these symptoms, the chemical levels in their body needs to be balanced.

I am also a Christian. I have no medical Insight. But I have the same love hate relationship with masturbation. My reading on the subject leads me to believe that as far as God is concerned, masturbation is one of those areas where the bible is not specific. There is no occasion where masturbation itself brought God's wrath. This leads me to believe that the act is neither good or evil but the motivations or the heart is the deciding factor. Just throwing this out there from one OCD Christian to the next.

I am currently suffering Anxiety due to health issues and life stress.  I'm aware of what is causing my issue, yet the problem persists.  I found this program and it seems promising.  the idea of resetting your body back to a normal level of anxiety or getting rid of it entirely.  I don't sell this nor am I affiliated with this product.  Just another person that wants that "invincible" feeling back.

I am a Christian and have to deal with a long list of scriptures
that leave little doubt about whether not  masterbation is a sin.
I love to masterbate because of the level of pleasure that it offers.

Sin or not, afterwards, I get depressed and angry and can not remember anything. It really is not worth it regardless of how good it feels during the
session. The anxiety wears off in about a week and then I am ready to go again.

I am too old and close to meeting my final judgement to have a masterbation
problem. I have quit at least a 1000 times in my life and vowed to stop. I have
never in my adult life masterbated  and not had depression afterwards. To make things
worse, I am bipolar. I am a Christian so I also have the commands of Scripture
to deal with.  All this being the case, masterbation is so enjoyable for me that
once I have any physical contact at all with my genitals, the process starts and
can last as long as two  hours. The ejaculation experience is incredible as I
get a double does of the chemicles that run through your brain at ejaculation.
Then, the fun is over. Almost Immediately afterwards I go into deep depression
and realize that as good as it was it is not worth the final results. I do not watch
ponography but have a lot of it in my memory from when I did that rushs forward
during my masterbation sessions. I once heard it said that you can not "unsee"
anything. So if you are young (which means under 75) and having trouble with
masterbation, I encourage you to get it stopped by what ever means you can find.
most of the negativev of the side affects that you read about will have their own
deamons for you to battle with. You may not believe in deamons now but if you can
not stop the habit, you will eventually. As long as you "suffer" afterwards, there is still
hope for you to overcome but you have to make serious decisions and find some way
to stick to them. I am going to masterbate now but will promise this will be the last
time. Honest!!  This is going to be good.

I promise.

I am a Christian too.  Having been brought up in the Catholic Church, going through puberty was a nightmare, living in fear of hell for merely touching myself!  But then later in life, Christ rescued me through His Word, and freed me from religion and guilt.  Masturbation is conspicuous by its absence in Scripture.  Leviticus lists all imaginable sexual sins, and masturbation is not even mentioned.  At worst, a man who had an "emission," involuntary or otherwise, was merely ritually unclean for the rest of the day.  Besides, we can enjoy ourselves for hours on end without having an emission, and therefore able to repeat the activity as often as desired, and if we do ejaculate, then it's no big deal.  I consider masturbation a wonderful gift of God so we can gratify ourselves without sinning.  "We are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that my soul knows very well" (from Psalm 139). When we are free in Christ, we are free indeed! So masturbate to your heart's content and praise God for this indescribably pleasurable gift.
Just so you know, this post is 6 years old -- let's hope the poster has gotten over it by now.  You might be new here.  If find your theology interesting, though -- you seem to be saying Christ freed you from Christianity.  Pretty cool.  I like that.  Sounds more like Buddhism than Christianity, but again, pretty cool.  enlightenment of you.  Not sure you've got the Jewish stuff right, but who cares?  I'm with you, these rules were probably devised to differentiate tribes from other tribes and to promote procreation so they would get more followers.  Life is hard enough without eliminating the parts of it that feel really good without hurting anyone.  Peace.

Id like to chat with you about the anxiety issue. I believed the masturbation is the cure to anxiety, why is that wrong to believe?
