Monkey Mind

Hey guys, does anyone have the following where your mind is racing around and around touching on almost every available topic out there.  Jumping here and there.  Also, I have this re-occurring sound or rhythum in my mind that keeps repeating itself over and over -- like the notes of a song.  Any one experience this?  And if so, how does one get it to stop?  Thanks!

When did this start?

If it's just recently, it might be the Celexa.  I remember feeling that way when I started taking it for a short time.

Yes it's exactly like that for me too!  And like Topher said, there are many times when I'm really anxious that I'll have to ask someone to repeat what they just said because I was hearing my own thoughts and not them.  Or when watching TV I'll realize that I am completely lost in the storyline because my mind just won't shut up!  I get songs stuck in my head too, but I would much rather have that than to be obcessively cycling through thoughts of health anxiety (my main concern).  I wonder if it's like OCD, or something?  I notice that when I play online games that stimulate and speed up my thought process that the next few days I will be scatterbrained and distracted very easily, so I no longer play online at all.  I stick to solitare :-)

Yes. I am completely ADD and all over the place when my anxiety is at its worst. In fact it cane be so bad that I'll completely tune out conversations and be in another world.
