My anxiety issues

Hello, my name is Cody and I have been suffering from anxiety issues for about 3 months. It all started when I had a anxiety attack while smoking marijuana. I had smoked everyday for 2 years, and after that day I quit. In the following days, I continued to consume alcohol at my normal rate and never got any sleep. I would only get about 4 hours a night, while still working 40 hours weekly. The last attack I had following a night of heavy drinking and little sleep (3 hours). I have since had at least 8 hours of sleep a night, and haven't drank a drop. It's been about 2 weeks, and I'm starting to feel more and more relaxed as the days passed. I am employed full time and a full time student. I have a girlfriend who I love dearly, but causes me a lot of stress. My parents also cause me stress. What could my anxiety be linked to? Marijuana withdrawals, stress, sleep deprivation, alcohol, or all of them balled into one?

Thanks for the response. I think I might just have too much going on right now. Sleep deprivation doesn't help anything, and I've read that it increases anxiety. I think it all started from kicking the marijuana addiction, and the stress from school, work, and the girlfriend just contributed to it. I am also worried about having another full blown anxiety attack. I think  I need to just give it time. I don't want to go to the doctor for two reasons: I have no insurance lol and I don't wanna be put on meds. I think that the human mind can overcome any problem it encounters. It just takes some time and determination. Websites like this help calm me down and make me think I'm not going crazy haha

Can I choose "all of the above?"

You have a lot on your plate (working full time AND school full time?  Man, that is tough and I know since I work in student loans...), and kicked an addiction to beat.  The alcohol can (and does) make things worse.  I would suggest getting a full physical.  Bring up your previous habit and your sleeping issues.  I would also look into seeing a therapist who can help with the anxiety issues.  If you establish a good relationship with a therapist, maybe see a psychiarist.  This may be simple overload, it could be an ongoing issue.  See professionals to help you determine what you need to do to help you.  You may want to look into going to school maybe half time for a semester.  It may push out your degree plans, but if you need the break, you will perform in school and work better once you have had it.

Good luck!
