Hi, I'm reading your posts and I'm experiencing the same. I've also had blood work and an mri that all checked out fine. My father just recently passed away from ALS and so unfortunately I'm convinced that this is what it is. My symptoms were next to nil before we found out he had ALS but it's been almost a month since his death and now my body is twitching constantly and, feeling tingling in my scalp, weakness and burning in my limbs. I'm waiting to go for genetic testing next.
There have been some studies in the news recently that showed that aspartame (Nutrasweet) can cause these types of symptoms, even in small quantities! I don't know if you eat or drink artificially sweetened things but it might be worth looking into. Other things that have been connected to these symptoms are gluten intolerance, and vitamin B-12 deficiency. You could do a blood test for vitamin B-12. You can do a blood and stool test for gluten. Also chemical imbalance in the muscles (lactic acid, calcium. etc. depending on your diet and activities could be helped by taking a supplement of trace minerals.
I see that your posts where a very long time ago but if u get this post please let me know what you have found out. I have had exactly the same symptoms for 3 yrs (I'm 33 with 2 small children) and it is terribly impacting my life. It feels like I keep trailing things but nothing really works. Please let me know if anything has worked for you.
YES! I have all of that, incl the anxiety. For two years, I have been dealing with this and no answers from EMG/NCV, lumbar puncture, bloodwork, VEMP, etc. MRI showed one lesion on the brain, but subsequent MRIs show no changes and clear LP leaves me with a diagnosis of chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia. I don't really know what to think. Even when I feel fine, anxiety wise, I feel this burning pain and have twitching. I feel you pain. Take care and keep in touch.
