Why do the images in my head changes size sometimes when I lay down?

When I was about 6 or 7, I was laying in bed alone staring straight ahead at a wall. Suddenly, I felt like i was floating, the room started spinning, and these very specific images popped into my head:

People and things, as in normal thought process, started shifting rapidly between needle thin and very bloated. From what I've noticed, the things become a dark shade of beige and take on a strange texture.
It creates a strange pressure in my throat, and parts of my body twitched at random intervals.

I couldn't stop it, and it has been happening ever since. This only happens when I am laying in bed, eyes open or shut. It's not often, but strange enough to prompt questions.

Could this be a symptom of anxiety? I do suffer mildly severe OCD, but I have never heard of this sort of symptom. Am I just crazy? Does this happen to anyone else in similar fashion?
