Anxiety

I had my first mamogram when I was 30 yrs old then I didn`t have another until 50 yrs of age when it was discovered that one breast was dencer than the other so follow up mamograms where performed only to find everything is ok, but since then I have learnt alot about the exporure to radiation and how harmful it can be now I am concerned about the unnecessary exposure I have recieved. I was told the amount was very small but I am not convinced, hence my anxiety has worked overtime

The new mammograms use such a minute amount of radiation, there really is nothing to be concerned about. There are risks everywhere we turn these days. The tiny risk you take during a mammogram is well worth it if they find the cancer early.
Ask any breast cancer survivor what they think about mammograms.
