I've been reading a book called "Freedom from Nervous Suffering" by Claire Weekes and it has really helped me. Please get it from the library and read it, it gives practical advice about feeling better even while in full fling of a panic attack and it WORKS!
Please try it and let me know?
you're not alone. stay strong and try to stay in the moment.
Thank you... I am feeling more relaxed. I find when I really fight it, I get scared and more worked up. The most frustrating is when I feel great for days, then it comes back.
I finally took an ativan, which I never really do. Its the fear of becoming dependent on it.
I hate this feeling and just want my old self again.
Hi Kim,
I completely understand what you are going through. There are times it seems to "come back" again and we wonder why. Remember that you are not alone in feeling like this, most of us feel the same way, but there are moments of "clarity" when the anxiety leaves us, focus on those moments.
It helps me, during those moments, to remind myself that it will pass (as it always does) and I just have to let it wash over me, not fight it and the fact of relaxing helps make it pass quicker. I hope that makes sense.
Hang in there and remember we are all here for you!
