Thank you for your input. Anymore insight would be appreciated.
Who knows? I've gotten to something like fibromyalgia, too, pains in my arms and shoulder. Don't know yet what it is. Could also be my cervical discs. A lot of reasons for pain. I found out about the Lexapro and Celexa when I kept feeling like my ears were full. Went to the ENT, and he said it was most likely jaw clenching, looked up the meds on some sites and there it was, a common side effect. With imipramine and Paxil, the magnesium worked, but it hasn't with Lexapro and Celexa, assuming they're the cause. Just something you might try because as a class of meds, anti-depressants are known to interfere with magnesium absorption and magnesium is very important in the relaxation of muscles. That's why it's worth a try. Good luck.
I've looked up muscle pain and Celexa but could not find any info. I would like to know more about this so I can talk to my doc. I was starting to think I might have Fibromyalgia. But all the symptoms aren't there. Can I still feel all this (and some twiching-not much though) even when I feel normal. I had forgotten I had anxiety and then felt a twitch or was reminded by muscle pains and then off I go thinking about it all. I know the meds are working as much as they should, but will the physical symptoms go away with the med (the chemistry behind it all)?
Many antidepressants cause muscle tightness and cramping. It's an especially common side effect with Celexa. The only thing I can tell you to try is adding a magnesium citrate supplement to your diet; many meds interfere with it's absorption. This helped me with a couple of antidepressants. Maybe it'll help you.
