I couldn't agree more, Queen Lydia! :0)
A bit of my own input if I may....
Also....it helps to browse around the forum, do a few searches to find similar situations that have been discussed before, just to get some basic ideas before you pen your post.. Of course everyone deserves attention to their own unique problems...but some of this stuff gets SO repetitive, there will be 4-5 threads on the first page about virtually the exact same thing.
I think that people come here and just start typing away, b/c they are frantic, desperate, etc....which I UNDERSTAND totally...but it helps to take a few breaths...familiarize yourself with the forum and site a bit, and gather your thoughts.
Also, remember that it may take a little while before you get a reply or two...this is one of the busier forums here. There are a LOT of us anxious people out there! :0) So, DO try to be patient, and PLEASE PLEASE do not start multiple threads unless it is TRULY a totally different topic. That gets so incredibly confusing...both for the OP and for the responders.
But, yes...adding more info to the background makes a world of difference in the advice! (As was the original topic of lydia's thread...lol)
BUMPITY BUMP BUMP!
(Can't you make this a sticky, Queenie?)
:0)
I am the Queen only in MY mind ...........LOL
I WISH I had the power to make this stick at the top, but my crown jewels don't extend that far.
I do think it is a good introduction into our forum, but trying to make it "offical" takes more energy than I have at the moment.
Thanks for all who have supported me in our attempt to make newbies not only welcome, but more aware of how we can help them in the fastest way possible.
Peacee
Greenlydia
If you could "bump" this up to the top when you get a chance, I would really appreciate it! We have so many "newbies," any advice, I'm sure, would be welcome by them.
Thanks you guys.......and remember, we were ALL "newbies" here at one time or another!
Peace
Greenlydia
And another thing...
Yes, we "get it" that you are at your wit's end -we were, too. But seriously, if you spend some time getting to know how this forum works, you may well find:
A) that your question has already been answered (or at least discussed), and
B) that what others have said will help you frame your question to get some good, solid, results.
Just for starters, look at the journal entries written by others. To do this, put your cursor over someon'e name as it appears on a post, then, when the little choice menu pops up, click the name and you will go to that person's profile. Once there, click Journals and spend some time seeing what has already been said. This is what we refer to as the "collective wisdom."
Glad you are here.
And we don't want to hear about ejaculations and erections. Not when we're eating. Thanks.
I second that MrGreen....that embarrasses me and that just increases my anxiety !!
BUMP!
OMG.....MrGreen...you owe me a new keyboard...I was sipping when I read your last post.
ROFLMAO!!!!
(Sneaking in a {{{{{squeeze}}}}} for JS while he is here, miss your posts!!!!)
I want to repeat my request to TRY to keep everything on ONE thread. You honestly do NOT need to start a new thread for each symptom. You can really miss valuable answers trying to keep up with multiple threads.
YOU know who you are....*koff* c-note *koff* LOL
;0)
Perhaps talk of ejaculation and erections puts YOU off your porridge, but it may just whet the appetite of others.................
How do we update our profiles to include more?
Go into your profile. You should see various options in there. One might be to modify your profile. You can add pics too if you want.
Click on your own name. Top righthand part of page you should see ' edit profile '. There is a box where you can write information about yourself.
Agree. I will get on that
Just to be difficult - why can't a 64 yr old female get advice from an 18 yr old male? Don't males just get dumber as they age = P
I await the censors' kicking my virtual butt for making sexist comments.
I'm not sure what possible advice an 18 year old of either gender could possibly have for a 64 year old of any gender. The reverse, however, is just the opposite; we have plenty for them, only they won't listen.
Bumps Nursey when she isn't looking !!!!!
Won't listen to what? hehe
I'm not going to engage in "battle" with nursegirl - she's a drama queen who'll kick my wormbutt = P
