after effects of anxiety attack attack

Hello,

I'm prone to suffering from anxiety attacks. It had been a while since I'd had one since the attack earlier on today

One thing I've always noticed as are occurring theme with these onsets of panic is the feeling of fogginess after; an almost drunk feeling of disequilibrium where I can easily recognise that my cognitive abilities are at a slower rate than usual.

Can anybody here Identify with / or have of knowledge this? and if so any thoughts on how to shake it off?

Thank you

Yes.  I used to fall asleep after I would come out of an anxiety attack.  It's pretty intense stuff for the body to go through.  When possible, just give yourself some time to relax and regroup.  Try to get some extra sleep and make sure you're taking care of your body (eating healthy, not skipping meals, avoiding alcohol and cigarettes, etc.) as best you can.

This is VERY common and happens to me when I get anxious sometimes.

You really just have to wait it out and learn to adapt to it if it occurs often.

Everytime I go in a supermarket or place with florescent lighting I experiance a feeling of low cognitive ability like I've forgotten how to process things around me its very annoying and quite disorientating . I suffer with anxiety and panic it seems to make me have real bad co ordination and blurred vision combine that with a vague feeling and it seems difficult to function .I just try to get on with it then it .. hope you sort it out regards Ross.
