Hollie,
I totally understand your fear...I went through the brain tumor thing...I had CAT Scans and then begged for an MRI. I had EEG's...EVERYTHING....It is such a terrible feeling and I know that it is soooo real to you. Please get to your doctor. You do not have to live like this! We all know what you are experiencing on this site and nothing we say will truly make you feel better until you get the help you need. I will pray for you.
Hollie,
your doctor has years, and years, of experience and training that deals with medical issues and can readily identify when something serious is wrong - based on your symptoms it doesnt sound like there is a serious underlying medical which is causing your headaches and your doctor would easily identify these symptoms if they were present.
I really feel you should go back to the doctor and discuss your feelings with them. Headaches or not, if you are at the point where your fears are preventing you from leaving the house this indicates your anxieties are taking over and preventing you from leading a good quality of life. Since you are only taking klonopin on an "as needed" basis, this only helps deal with panic feelings when they arise - an SSRI taken on a daily basis can PREVENT these feelings from arising in the first place.
Hollie, I can assure you that there are MANY people that have similar feelings/thoughts that you have and there IS help available. The first step is to go back to the doctor and tell them everything you have mentioned here. There is NO reason for you to suffer like this.
Thanks.
Yeah its hard for me believe anyone even doctors : [
Hi Hollie,
Anxiety is a horrible thing, with many different physical symptoms, but the fact your headaches come on at times of stress and are accompained by neck pain really suggests that they are stress/anxiety induced. However, I doubt that these words will not make you feel any better so
I would suggest making an appointment with your doctor for a routine physical exam at which point you can also discuss these fears. It sounds like it may be a good idea to reevaluate the antianxiety medications you are currently taking.
