I had the exact symptoms. Panic attack, derealization and constant head pressure int he front of my face. Im taking ativan but I think I need to get SSRI to manage this for long term. I tried to get over this natural way but I still have the constant headache pressure and still feel anxious at times. No more derealization though. Im in dental school and I cant funcion like this in clinc so I am going to get prescription for lexapro nest week. I heard celexa andlexapro work really well
When I had my first panic attack and was diagnosed with GAD, I spent about a month and a half feeling like I was in a dream, like I was looking at everyone from the outside. Even my own hands looked weird and unreal, and it was super upsetting and scary because I couldn't really explain it to anyone, and when I tried they looked at me like I was crazy.
I got on antidepressants and after a while that feeling went away. Every once in a while when I'm feeling really anxious or I have a panic attack, I'll have those same feelings for a little bit but they are nowhere near what they were before. It's called derealization and it's pretty common among people with anxiety disorders. I hope that helps, just letting you know you're not alone!
My dad has had health anxiety for 40 years and hes 60 now. He takes 8 vitemins a day, everything he eats is organic and he stays calm. The doctors are amazed with him everytime he takes a new test for some 'problem' because they say the normal person his age is 20 times worse then him.
Let the anxiety make you a better and healthier person.
