Here are my symptoms

I have been struggling with anxiety for a few months, but I think there is more to it than my mind.  Let me brief you on my history.

Everything started last August, I had a soreness in my left side of chest.  Went to a clinic and they weren't sure about the EKG so they sent me to the hospital.  While in the ER (I expected to leave within a few hours) I had a panic attack, heart rate went to 160.  I NEVER had anything like that before, so that was the first.  The next day I felt fine, still a little soreness in the chest, but all tests checked out good.

I then figured that it may be acid reflux.  After a few days, I felt fine with no pain or soreness.  I stayed off of caffeine for a couple weeks, then slowly climbed back on coffee.

In October I ate a huge breakfast, felt uncomfortable and had another panic attack at home.  I laid down and rested and was able to overcome it.  Then my chest started to hurt more, went to the doctor and took some Maalox with numbing solution and was overwelmed how much it felt better and relieved my anxiety-tense feeling.

Let me speed up a little bit.  I went on for a couple months trying to eat right, avoiding medicine if possible.  Went to a counselor who was also a trauma heart surgeon, which made me feel comfortable.  We worked on my anxiety and I started feeling better.

I can control anxiety attacks that try to come on, but the anxiety is still there.  I am wondering about maybe having hyperthyroidism.   Let me give you my current symptoms and see what you think..

- Out of nowhere start to feel 'on edge' or nervous
- various times of light headed or dizziness
- sometimes tired, goes with light headed
- sometimes feel my left breast vibrate, similar to cell phone feeling
- sometimes feel soreness in my left chest area
- I may feel fine one moment, and then feel cold later in same room
- normal bowel movements more often, twice a day usually
- indigestion or bloatedness makes me feel a little more nervous

If you have any questions or suggestions, I would love to hear it.  Thank you.

This sounds like a classic case of anxiety. I don't suspect hyperthyroidism. You were doing the right thing is taking better precaution with your eating habits and practising better coping strategies with your anxiety. I definitely understand how  challenging it can be to win a fight with an anxious mind but as you learn what works best for you it becomes easier with time.
Remember that your fearful thoughts are just thoughts. That's it. They are not real and they are completely in your control. If a thought isn't serving you, choose a different thought. It does not mean that you are being naive or ignorant-- it means that you recognize that worrying doesn't control the future, so why worry?

Hi there
Have they tested your thyroid yet? I think your first step would be to see a doctor and rule out any medical issues that could cause your symptoms. If that all checks out then there is a very real possibility that they could be symptoms of anxiety. Anxieties symptoms are widely varied and are large
But I always suggest seeing your doctor to have things ruled out first.
Good Luck
