could i be addicted to larazepam

i have been taking larazepam .5mg total for i month for anxiety and when i try not to take it sometimes i feel really icky.  my rx was for .5mg twice a day but i only took half that amount at a time and sometimes didn't even take that much.  can you get addicted to that small of a dose please help.

thanks for the info i am still going to try to stop taking that stuff because i feel really jitty dizzy and i feel like i am going to throw up when i don't take it

Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by slowing down the movement of chemicals in the brain. This results in a reduction in nervous tension (anxiety) and causes little sedation.

The dosage you were taking is below that normally prescribed for the treatment of anxiety.

Lorezapam(Ativan) can be habit forming, although at the dosages you mention I suspect any withdrawal you may suffer is psychological rather than physical.

If these symptoms persist or are overly bothersome, talk with your provider about your concerns.
