ct works. i lived with panic attacks and anxiety for nearly twenty years before entering psychoanalysis never to have a panic attack again
(ten years so far). i learned that anxiety was repressed, unfocused fear, anger, shame, guilt or any other tangle of repressed emotions from an abusive childhood. you keep a lid on it for so long but i leaks out as anxiety. ct really helped me.
Thanks KC...I have also reached a point in my life when I am saying enough is enough...This past week has been very rough and I do not why...If is work or a party I'm planning with my sister or my daughter was diagnosed with cold nodules on her thyroid or just a plain hormone shift...All I want is it to go away....I hope yours goes away too...
Hi :)..I am not on ativan at all...I take two .25 xanax pills a day at the most...But I read about the ativan and it sounded like I may want to try it if nothing else works...I will give you a full report on ct....I have the appoint on 1/24..
I think it is definitely worth trying. My anxiety has been here and there throughout my life and I never really thought much about it. Then I started a new phase in my life that has flared up my anxiety horrible. I understand about needing to call off work. I decided I couldn't live like this anymore. I had one session only but already I feel better. I am learning a lot about anxiety and that I will have control over it. I can feel better. I think the key is to take accountability and believe it can work. My younger sister has way worse anxiety than me and dismisses her therapy work. It makes me sad that she won't help herself. She just has decided to be miserable at times. Good luck - you can feel better!
I got such a shock when I saw all the mail my pc had sent. do you mean you take 2.5mgs of ativan? if so have you been on them long. please try c.t and if its not for you then you will know in the first few sessions. but I really do think you have nothing to loose. take care.

LOL...I thought I was seeing an echo...thanks and I will try it...and I read your reply about ativan...I am on 2 .25 (I can actually take 3) of xanax and I was just put on lexapro...and I had such horrible attack this morning that I had to call in sick (again)...and if the lexapro doesn't work, I am going to ask about the Ativan...
