It can help with depression, but you also claim to have agoraphobia?  Because this is a very stimulating antidepressant and for those with primary anxiety it can make the anxiety worse.  But if depression is your main problem, it might help -- we're all different in how well we metabolize and are affected by medication -- and it's known not to have some of the nasty side effects of other antidepressants such as sexual side effects and weight gain.  But only trying it will tell, and be aware of its stimulating nature.

You can read here about Buprion which has to be taken continuously for a few months just to get the full effect. Most side effects go away with time.
If you are wondering what is the best drug for your situation it is best to discuss with doc or your pharmacist. Have you taken it or any other depression meds previously?
