what do you think

Today I went to see the doctor he put on 25mg zanax to help control the anxiety. It seeming to help although i have read that the drug is very addictive as i do not want to get dependant on anything.  I have an appointment to see a psychiatrist in a week or so.  My question is does anyone find cognitive therapy more helpful than medication or is both the way to go

Lots of people are very fearful of operations, understandably.  You could ask for a pre-med sedative.

remember you will be completely under, not like with a c-section which I assume you were not asleep for.

Tell them about the hives and also that you are worried.  I had a nurse hold my hand while going under and it was amazing how much that helped.

Good luck.  When you get through this you will hopefully be able to realise your dream of more children.

i found cbt not helpful. only meds work for me. but over time i've been able to know how to tell myself im not going to die and when im having a panic attack i know im going to be fine. so with a little confidence you'll be fine :)try not to go to meds unless you REALLY need it.
