What I meant to say was that I AM on ativan again...sorry for the typo. It pays to proofread, which I did not. :)
It sounds like withdrawal to me as well. I have tapered off of Ativan before after taking it for 18 months, and I did a very slow taper and didn't have any problems coming completely off of it, but you can have aches and pains and other unpleasant symptoms if you try to taper off too fast. My first expericence with Ativan and weaning off was several years ago. I am not on Ativan again and have been for a little over a year. I am hoping to start tapering off again this summer, and I pray I have an easy time of it again. Good luck to you! :)
Don't equate ANY particular pain with the med DIRECTLY. It is more likely withdrawal that is at work here, and wouldn't matter which drug was being tapered. And go figure -your body and brains and every cell WANT that assurance the med gives them. And you -you bad boy you- are taking it away. So aches and pains -sometimes pretty sharp- are to be expected. So, kick butt and carry on!
I've heard of people having chest pains with withdrawals on xanax. It might go away in a few days, but I still recommend seeing a doctor.
Get well, dude.
